2012 Yacht Design News

Welcome to the seventh edition of our yacht design newsletter. In the last 12 months we have seen a number of notable enquires converted to contracts whilst enquiry levels have continued to rise.

This year we are proud to have played a key role in some very exciting projects, including the conceptual development of some innovative designs such as Project Oxygen with Claydon Reeves as well as the launch of yachts such as R/V Pegaso, the Majesty 135 and Vava II, the largest yacht ever built in the United Kingdom.

During 2012 provision of naval architecture and engineering services to refits has also strengthened our order book. Projects include the 74m M/Y Ilona, the 58m M/Y Idol, a 63m classic motor yacht and a 42m Feadship from Pendennis Shipyard.

BMT have continued to invest in participating with regulators and other industry partners to ensure regulations remain relevant in the large yacht context. This provides us with a unique perspective when providing consultancy to our broad range of clients on far reaching technical and regulatory yacht design issues.
